Hi I'm Marlee

I"ve been born and raised in Western Montana. I enjoy the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Living in Montana, especially rural Montana, is awesome because I'm able to do the things I love. My favorite activity rain or shine is horse back riding. I live and breathe horses, fortunately my grandparents raise horses. I got my horse when I was twelve and we've been partners in crime ever since. Her name is Hady Gray. When I'm not riding I'm usually out hiking with my dogs, I have a rottweiler and a miniature schnauzer. In the summer my family and I spend a lot of time out on the river rafting and swimming. My favorite season in fall because the weather is perfect for riding and my grandparents move their cows around, which means Hady and I are out chasing cows from sunrise to sundown. During the winter I snowmobile and cross country ski. However, Montana gets pretty cold so I spend a lot of time painting down by our fire place. I'm really blessed to have great immediate and extended family that I get to spend time with.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the chruch in fact I am a third generation member. For me having a testimony of the gospel has always been easy, I've always known it was true, however a coupole of years ago I decided that I needed to know why I believed what I believed. I began by praying and reading the scriptures. It took longer than I thought but I finally got my I answer. I'm a Mormon because I have felt my Savior's love for me, I've seen it displayed in the beauty of the world around me. I know that the gospel is true because when I follow its teachings I am happier. I know that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer, that He knows and loves me, that He died and lived again so that I can return to live with Him and Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that each of us were placed in the circumstances we live in to be tested and to learn. Having a testimony has helped me many different times. The most important thing about my testimony is that it gives me hope. It gives me hope because I know that as I strive to live the gospel I am following Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

How I live my faith

I serve as a Sunday school teacher in my ward. The class I teach is called Gospel Principles. This class is for people who are trying to learn about the church and what we believe in. My favorite part about teaching is that I get to share my testimony and learn from others. Living my faith is more than just teaching on Sunday, it's about being an example to others.
