Hi I'm Vaughan

I'm a Healthcare Professional, I'm a father and Husband and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love music and have taught myself the flute, I am looking for my next challenge to learn a new instrument. My family are influenced by music with my pianist wife and musically gifted teenagers. I work in the Pharmaceutical Industry focussing my efforts on localised market Access issues (a job I very much love, as I see it as my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many people by getting access to life changing medicines).

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. I'm not sure what is more difficult (to be raised a Mormon or to be converted to the Church later in life). I know that they both have challenges, but I am grateful for the challenges in my life that led me to come to know my Heavenly Father and realise the great love that he has for me. I also have a great love for my Saviour Jesus Christ. Family is so very important to me and to know that the ties that bind us together her on earth can be perpetuated throughout the eternities brings me so much joy. I love the opportunity that the gospel enable me to spend so much quality time with my family who mean so much to me. My mother always used to comment on my smile (I never realised that it was something that I did most of the time) but I have come to realise that I do so because living the gospel brings me so much joy. I am not sure of the person that I would be if I didn't have the gospel in my life, I am certainly not perfect, but the gospel gives me focus in my life and helps me strive to be a better person every day. I know that through living the gospel we can achieve real happiness and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and have had many opportunities to serve my fellow brothers and sisters at church. I currently oversee the teachers of our Stake early morning Seminary program, where they teach the young people of our Stake from the scriptures and about Church History. As a father of three teenagers, I love interacting with the young people of the church. I also work with other leaders of our Stake to teach the gospel and reach out to others both members and non-members of our faith.
