Hi I'm Spencer Chugg

I love racquetball, singing, genealogy, and cooking. I have a firm belief in the Savior Jesus Christ and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised in an active Latter Day Saint family in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I have three brothers and one sister. Family has always been a important part of my life. While I was raised my parents were an example to me of how I should live my faith. I like to make family activities a priority. I hope that when I get children of my own I will be able to raise them as my parents have raised me. I like playing Racquetball with my Father. He taught me how to play Racquetball and how to improve. I spent a lot of time with him in the courts. Me and my younger brother have always loved swimming. It is an activity that we both enjoy even though I am not the greatest at it. We always took advantage of our swimming passes we would get in the summertime. One activity I also enjoy is cooking. I was always involved in the cooking classes at school. I always like looking for new great recipes to try. But above all my activities I enjoy, I love genealogy. Looking for mine or others ancestors is a thrill to me. I hope to be a genealogist someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter Day Saint family. Throughout my life I have seen the Lord guide me through this life. As I have attended meetings, read my scriptures, and praying daily I have come to a knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lords Church on this earth. I have felt the words from the Book of Mormon become a blessing in my life as I have learned and applied its teachings. I have a firm belief in modern prophets. I know that God calls living prophets to guide and lead us. As I look back on life I have seen Gods love for me in many experiences in my life. Through the Saviors Atonement we can live and feel his love redeem us. I stand with a familiar Latter Day Saint hymn that "I know that my Redeemer lives".

How I live my faith

As a Latter Day Saint my faith is my life and its culture. I actively go to church every Sunday and read from the holy scriptures daily. I make sure to spend time reading from the Book of Mormon which is an ancient volume of scripture. As I have read the Book of Mormon I have felt the power of its words in my life and it has influenced me to strive to live as the Savior would. One way I live my religion is by serving others. Showing love and care for people in need is an attribute the Savior showed throughout his entire ministry. I strive to love others by reaching out to them. Showing a loving hand when it is needed is a important aspect of LDS lifestyle. Another way I was involved in my youth was the Scouting program. I was very involved in Scouts. I worked hard to earn many awards and achievements in the program, but the most important part was the lessons I learned while being involved in Scouting.
