Hi I'm Yui Watanabe

I was born and raised in Japan. Moved to the States after I graduated from high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Japan. My parents are converts to the LDS church so I have been Mormon all my life. After I graduated from high school I came to Utah for school, BYU. I served my mission in Hawaii and I loved everything about it: culture, people, and of course, food! I miss my family but I know each one of the member of my family is where we are supposed to be right now.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to continue to be a member of the church because I know the gospel always gives me peace in my heart. I may not be the most obedient and hardworking member 24/7. However, when I feel depressed, ashamed, overwhelmed, or panic, I always tell myself that I know praying to Heavenly Father would calm my heart, and I pray. It may not necessarily change the situation right away, but knowing that His gospel is true and Heavenly Father is literally my Father and loves me for who I am, and that Jesus Christ understands the pain and the fear that I have gives me comfort. I know they live. I know they love me, and YOU, unconditionally.

How I live my faith

My calling in my ward right now is to create and print out programs for the sacrament meeting. Well, it may sound boring or easy responsibility. But I try to fulfill my calling the best I can. Since I get to choose the pictures and scriptures or quotes to put in the front page of the program, I can share the message and my testimony with those who take the program. I do not know if it's helping others or not, but I know the power of the scripture and how it can brighten up peoples hearts.
