Hi I'm Brian

I live in Boise Idaho, I am a Return Missionary, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, snow shoeing, mountain biking, cycling, fixies, etc. I love getting into the outdoors because its where I can see God's creation. Looking out at the top of a tall mountain is just a breath taking event for me and its where I always find out that God is an artist. I am also an employee for a family business, SCORE Outdoors, where i get to help people buy their own outdoors equipment. But our trick is that our product is used therefore everything is for a really good cost. It is such a joy to help people enjoy what I enjoy without making them spend a lot of money. Its a growing business where I have learned a lot and desire to learn more.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up all my life in the Mormon church. I would say for most of my years I relied heavily on my parents testimony which was fine and dandy. But it wasn't until about freshman year of high school when I started making some bad decisions. Things I am not proud of, but that's when I understood what the atonement was. A few years later started making even worse choices, that point I was older and could understand more of what everything meant. That's when I knew the atonement was real, that Jesus is the Christ and that he knew and loved me individually. I felt his presence constantly throughout that time period. That's when I knew this gospel was true. When I felt a remission of my sins. Then my testimony escalated from there. I then felt a prompting to go on a mission as fast as possible. It was hard for me because when I graduated all of my close friends were leaving on missions or to college but since I had graduated a year early for my age I had to wait till I turned towards the end of the year. I found out how to really trust in the lord, and he helped me through sort of a depression stage for me. Once I received my mission call to Ecuador I spent most of my time with the missionaries. I would go over in the morning and study with them, learn with them, role play, feed them, give them rides, and teach with them. One of them was elder smith. He is by my standards the perfect missionary, he is my role model other than my father. Elder smith literally changed what my mission experience would be like. But now as a missionary of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, I love this gospel, I testify that joseph smith saw god the father and his son Jesus Christ. I know that the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know Christ lives and he died for us. Like elder Holland said," Christ walked alone so that we never have to." I know that Christ loves us all. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

My calling I have right now is to go serve the Lord for two years in the beautiful country of Ecuador. I am a missionary all the time. Even before my call to Ecuador I would constantly be serving with the missionaries and teaching Christ's gospel because this life is to short and this gospel is to beautiful to not share it with everyone.
