Hi I'm Brent

I was raised in rural Wyoming. I spend most of my time outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I have one older brother and three little sisters. I am not married but hope to be someday. My dad and I run a small automotive shop and I love every minute of it. I like to weld, work on diesel pickup trucks, but I especially like to ride motorcycles and shoot guns. Like many young men my age I enjoy excitement and thrill. Paintball is one of my favorite sports but I also enjoy swimming. I love camping in the mountains with my friends and always look for a good excuse to go. I hope to become a very respectable, knowledgeable mechanic someday and believe it's possible with lots of hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have felt of its truthfulness for myself. I was raised in the Church but because so many of life's hard questions were answered so easily by the doctrine and teachings, I decided either it has to be too good to be true or it was true. I have prayed to our Father in Heaven many times regarding truthfulness and let me simply say that because of these prayers my doubts have been removed. I know this is the one and only completely true church on this earth. I have studied the scriptures and prayed and have felt the confirming feelings of peach and joy. I felt the love of the Savior. If we are serious or sincere when asking God questions, and have faith, our questions will be answered.

How I live my faith

Since I am still rather young I have mainly been involved with the school and community youth groups. I was a member of the High School swimming team and tried my best to be a good example to my teammates. In my small high school there were few Mormons. I had a couple Mormon friends and they undoubtedly helped me stay on the path of righteousness. My friends and I attended seminary together each morning, mutual every Wednesday night, and Church every Sunday. Having good friends and trying to be a good friend helped me to stay aware of who I am and why I am here. I believe that being a good example to others was one of my callings from the Lord. I have learned from good examples and I have seen the happiness that can come from living as Jesus Christ would have us live. Because I have always tried to live a righteous life, I believe I have been an example to others.
