Hi I'm Jaden Mark Taylor

I grew up in Kansas. I have my own unique story, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active! Sports have been a huge part of my life; cycling running and playing soccer were my first loves growing up. I paint and draw, but my favorite type of art is ceramics. I also like to make bracelets and other little crafts. I've spent a majority of my summers in Idaho working on a dairy farm, but this past summer I spent playing professional soccer in Norway. Now I'm starting a new chapter in my life by going to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this religion, but through the years I've decided for myself that I believe what this church teaches and that I want it to be a part of my every day life. At times I have been unsure, but over time and after many personal struggles and challenges, I've come to the conclusion that this is what I'm supposed to be doing with my life. I love the surety it provides of "why I'm here?" and "where am I going?" and all those other questions. I like that it makes me have to push myself everyday to be better than I was before. It has made me a better person and I know it does the same for everyone whose life this religion touches. I know God is there. I know that he knows me personally and that he knows my challenges and my weaknesses. I know he sent his Only Begotten Son to die for our sins. I know he answers my prayers, and I know that all things are possible through Him. He is my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

When I was growing up I kind of "fell away" from the Church. I still went to all my Sunday meetings and whatnot, but I didn't enjoy being there. I thought I was too cool and that I had more important things to do. When I was 17 I met a girl from Norway and she turned my life around. Since I've met her I've become completely active in the Church. I've become nicer, more loving, and more empathetic towards other people. I've humbled myself and have learned to put others first. I am now living my faith by going on a full time mission; for myself, for the people in Korea, and to set the right example for my younger brothers.
