Hi I'm Jaden

I have a deep love for music, reading, and rugby. I am sophomore in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a large family (7 children, of which I am the third). I have one sister and 5 brothers. We all enjoyed a pleasant childhood in Southern Utah. Growing up in a smaller town allowed me to run around outdoors with my shoes off more often than on. The warm weather gave me a love for summer, and time spent at a lake doing recreational water sports. I played the cello, and piano, and sang soprano for my high school's elite choir. I also played on a girls' rugby team, going to state two years in a row. When I find myself with free time, I enjoy reading (lots of Harry Potter), cooking, or browsing Netflix and YouTube, or playing the guitar or ukulele (which I am struggling to teach myself). I have recently been attending a university working towards my degree in research psychology, and marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that this is the true, fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and that it contains the doctrines of salvation. I know that God is not silent, and that he speaks today through his living prophet as he did in biblical times. I know that my Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers I know that He know and loves us all individually and more fully than any earthy acquaintance we have. I know He cares deeply for our salvation, an so has created a plan that will save all who embrace it. I have gained this knowledge through prayer and personal revelation by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I know that I am happier and my life feels more fulfilling, purposeful, an focused when I am abiding by the teachings found within the Gospel of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have seen the joy that this gospel brings, and have felt it in my own life. I know that I can one day return to my Father in Heaven, to live in joy and love with my family, forever. I know that is made possible through Jesus Christ, who was the Son of God and Redeemer of the world; who came to this Earth to live and die for us. I know that He lives again, and because He lives again, so can I.

How I live my faith

My parents were members of the LDS church, so I have been raise Mormon. I have never doubted my faith. From a very young age I was convinced of the existence of God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. All the other teachings within the scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon) and the teachings of the modern prophets just made sense to me. I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary, in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I will leave my family and friends for a period of 18 months to live on the other side of the country. My full time responsibility will be to share my knowledge and the joy it brings me with others. I will work tirelessly during that time to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as will listen. This is the longest, most time consuming, hardest, and most rewarding calling I have ever had. I am very excited for the opportunity to share what I have been blessed with.
