Hi I'm Devin Seamons

I'm a drummer, guitarist, composer, daydreamer, and I'm a Mormon! :)

About Me

I love music. I like to listen to, play, and write music. I play a little guitar, and I also play the drums. I'm currently serving a full time mission in the Illinois Chicago West mission, and loving it! I'm pretty quiet off the bat, and sometimes live in my own little world, but if you get me talking, I'll probably never shut up. And if you ever need help or a friend, I'm always around, because there's more to life than just helping yourself. I love my family, I don't know where I'd be without them, especially my mom. I have a dad who is pretty darn awesome, and a stepmom as well. I've always considered her family personally, and I got an awesome little brother out of the deal, so it's worth it. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have found happiness in this religion. True happiness comes from living within the standards and bounds that The Lord has set. I find it exponentially easier to follow God if I have a corporeal mouthpiece to lead me in these perilous times, in conjunction with my own personal revelation. That mouthpiece, in the form of Latter-day prophets and apostles, has guided me to live a life that comes closer and closer to living in harmony with my Savior's standards for me. I know of a surety, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is The Lord's Church once again established on the earth, and that true happiness can be found by reading the Book of Mormon, applying the precepts and standards therein, and heeding the councils and instructions of His Latter-day prophets. In so doing, you will find and obtain not only an earthly sense of happiness and joy for you and your posterity, but you will take steps to assure your eternal felicity and exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom of God.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a full time mission, devoting two years 24/7 to The Lord, and inviting others to taste of the the goodness that I've found in His restored church! I live my faith by practicing the gospel standards that have been revealed to us in the Book of Mormon, and by The Lord's Latter-day prophets. I've found, that the greatest sense of peace and happiness comes from being charitable. Not just money, although that can be helpful, but charity as The Savior would give. Living the Higher Law as described by Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:38-48/3 Nephi 12:38-48.) I by no means claim to be perfect, but as I truly aspire to live in complete harmony with The Savior's teachings, and seek to be truly Christlike, I find a sense of lasting joy and serenity that I find in no other activity, person, government, or ideology on this earth. True happiness comes from following the commandments of God.
