Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Spokane. I love sports. I'm a PT student. I'm a husband. I'm a father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As of now, I am a 2nd year PT student at a Grad school in Arizona. I spend most of my time going to class, studying, and spending time with my wife and 15 month old boy. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports like basketball, baseball/softball, volleyball, golf, racquetball, tennis, and flag football. I served a 2 year mission to South Texas for the LDS church where I picked up a bit of Spanish (or Tex-Mex) and shared many wonderful things about God's plan to the people of that area.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church, but there came a point when I had to find out what was best for me. I went off to a community college away from home to play baseball. While I was there, I did not attend church very much, and I could feel a light inside of me fade slowly until I felt unsatisfied and lonely. When I returned home after getting my associates degree, I yearned to go back to church. It was the only place that could fill my empty heart. It was then a friend challenged me to read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it were true. So I gave it a try. (When I was younger I tried this, but always gave up when I didn't get an answer, but this time was different.) After a few nights of sincere studying and praying, my Heavenly Father gave me an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost, which pierced my soul to the very center telling me that what I had been reading was true and that the LDS church is exactly where I need to be to find the truth and be the most happy. Since that moment, I have continued to read the scriptures and attend church to strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. I also took the opportunity to share my happiness and faith to many people of south Texas. I am so grateful to my Savior for giving His life for me so I can find forgiveness of my wrong doings and one day return to live with Him and my family. Being a Mormon makes me so happy and brings me closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and there is no where else I would rather be.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday at church, I used to teach 5 year old children about the gospel of Jesus Christ, but now I have been asked to teach the 10 year old children these same principles. I love hearing the sweet testimonies of these kids and watching their faith in Jesus Christ grow week by week. This helps my faith strengthen as well.
