Hi I'm Sally

My husband and I have 9 children and 22 grandchildren. I am a nurse at a long-term care hospital. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Sally. My husband and I have 9 children, and 22 grandchildren. A short time after we were married, I got my nursing degree and I worked for a couple of years in a hospital. After we started having children, I was able to stay at home and care for them. When my youngest was a teenager, I went back to work as a part-time Medical/Surgical nurse. Over the past 12 years I have enjoyed a variety of nursing experiences, as a Pediatric nurse, a CNA instructor, a Clinical Instructor, and as the Charge Nurse in a specialty care facility. I love my work but my family and church come first in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised by loving parents who were active in the church. They taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ, and encouraged me to read the scriptures, say my prayers, and attend my church meetings. When I was a sophomore in college, I felt it was time for me to know for myself if the things which I had been taught all my life, were true. One night as I finished reading a chapter from the Book of Mormon, I knelt by the side of my bed and prayed in faith to know if the things which I had read were true. I had a powerful experience as the spirit was poured out upon me. I saw myself kneeling at the feet of my Heavenly Father with my head in his lap, and felt his indescribable love. I knew at that moment that the Book of Mormon was true. My knowledge and testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to grow daily. I testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He is the light of the world because his teachings and example light our path. And, He is the life of the world because his atonement and resurrection saves us from physical and spiritual death. I know that he lives and loves us, and as we strive to live his commandments and serve him, he will guide and bless our lives. His gospel has been restored to the earth, through the prophet, Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, is a true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on the earth today. I testify that if live his teachings, we can return to live with our loving Heavenly parents one day. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I have had many wonderful opportunities to serve in the church. I currently serve as a Ward Missionary, a Visiting Teacher, and as a support to my husband in his calling as Stake President. I work at the LDS Temple near our home one evening a week, and enjoy doing Family History.
