Hi I'm Katie

I was born and raised in Alaska. I love family, the outdoors, and adventure! I'm going on a mission to Peru! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to 2 years of school at Brigham Young University and I am now currently on a mission in Peru! I come from a family of eight. We always enjoyed going out on adventures in the Alaskan wilderness where I grew up. I love to be artistic and learning things about nature.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have been a lifelong member of this church, I have still had to develop my testimony the same way as everyone else. I have a loving mother and father who encouraged me to find the truth independently of their own testimonies. I can now say that I have developed my own testimony, through prayer and study and through seeing the benefits of making righteous decisions in my life. I have a personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ and I know that if we can have faith and endure to the end we will be able to come with our families to live in his and Heavenly Father's presence again. I bear testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that if one would read and ponder it's contents, then asking God if it is true, they will receive a testimony of the truthfulness of that book.

How I live my faith

Being born and raised in the Gospel, it is a huge part of my life. As a youth I helped plan activities for my peers and myself to come closer to Christ and enjoy being together in a positive environment. Recently I have been working in my congregation to help welcome and fellowship those who may be new and need a friend. Currently though I am serving a full time mission! Because of my faith in Jesus Christ I have chosen to share that joy with others by telling them about the things that I have come to know to be true.
