Hi I'm Kristen

I'm from Canada. I've been called to serve in the Nevada, Las Vegas mission. Yes, in fact, I am Mormon.

About Me

I have two jobs saving up for my long-awaited mission, for now! When I get back, I hope to go to Utah State College. I love to sing, to dance (but only when others aren't watching) and to laugh. Drawing is pretty cool, and so is my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always active in the church. I had about 10 years in inactivity. In 2012, I met a young man who was an active member. As we became friends, he didn't just look at me for who I was, or what I've been through... He looked at me for what I could become. To put it in his words "I don't care about the girl from the past - I care about the girl, here and now." I had such a huge desire to change, and that was just the little push I needed from a caring, helping hand. A couple of nights after that had happened, I knelt down, and prayed. As I prayed, I felt comfort and peace. It felt as if someone was hugging me, and surely enough I started to cry. That's when I knew that I needed to go back to church, and to learn of my Heavenly Father and of his son Jesus Christ. I knew that it wasn't going to be an easy road, but I promised Him and myself, that I wouldn't give up, and I would give it my all. The same day, it was manifested unto me that I should serve a mission. I've been striving for knowledge and self-righteousness ever since. Learning of the Atonement and Jesus' sacrifice had given me the opportunity to repent, and to change who I was for who I am now. I am so grateful for this gospel, it has changed my life for the better.

How I live my faith

Literally, in everything I do. I love being Mormon, and everything that comes with it. I love doing random acts of kindness, especially when the person doesn't know it was me! I am a ward missionary. That gives me the amazing opportunity to work with the missionaries who are serving in my ward and to help reach out to others in my own city! It's truly such a blessing. I make sure that the Holy Ghost can be with me in everything I do. Reading the scriptures every day, and praying every night with my family, and as an individual helps not only bring us together as a family, but it brings us closer to our Heavenly Father and invites the Holy Ghost wherever we go.
