Hi I'm Trudy

I love being happy. I love to laugh and go on adventures. One day I will travel the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always wanted to be an artist when I grew up, so I have always loved to draw and paint and do almost anything crafty. I have always loved to dance and sing and be able to express myself artistically. I love laughing and eating almost anything; I believe those are the two cures for anything, which is probably why I am always happy. I love going on adventures and exploring new places and learning everything about almost anything. especially when I am with my family or friends. I attend BYU, and am deciding if I am going to officially pursue my childhood dream and become an illustrator. I love being happy and making others happy. One day I will learn to play the violin, and go on many adventures and see the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church, and I have always liked going to church. I came to have my own testimony by reading the Book of Mormon and learning church history and doctrine through church, seminary, and by watching my family, friends, neighbors, and others I have looked up to. The more I have learned, the more it all just makes sense. It makes sense that God would continue to speak to us to today through prophets, who He has always called to teach the gospel. It makes sense that because Heavenly Father loves us, he would provide a plan for us to return and become like Him. I know it is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that this is possible. I used to always wonder why I got to be so blessed to be born into the gospel, and I didn't have to live without knowledge of Christ's restored church. One day at a church youth camp, I kept thinking about this, but then as someone shared their testimony, it hit me that God let me be born into the gospel, because He trusts me to share it. The camp theme that year was Doctrine & Covenants 115:5, which says "Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations".

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be a good example to my family, friends, and everyone else I meet, although I think most people I know are better examples to me. Everyday I read my scriptures and love relating the doctrines and principles taught to my own life. I know that true happiness comes as we keep the commandments God has given us through His prophets all throughout time. Currently I am serving a missionary in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I love every minute of it, sharing the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone that I can.
