Hi I'm Laura Melissa

I'm a musician, a student, a sister, a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to have a great family where I am the youngest of five daughters. I love music and enjoy playing the piano and singing. I like being active and enjoy trying new things. I love people and I love hearing stories about their lives and the things they've been through and getting to know people better. I am so grateful no two people are exactly alike. I think that's so amazing. I love how unique everyone is and how different people are blessed with different qualities that make them so amazing. Where I grew up one of very few members of the Church my age. None of my friends in high school were members of the Church but they were all amazing people who respected me and my beliefs. I am grateful for them and the opportunities they have given me to share the gospel with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to Heavenly Father and received answers to those prayers. I have witnessed people learning and gaining an understanding of Christ's gospel and how it positively effected their lives. I am a Mormon because I have studied the scriptures and know them to be true. They can help us with conflicts in our lives here and now. I am a Mormon because I have made a choice to seek out and find all of the ways that I am blessed. I promise you that if you make a conscious decision and effort to focus on positive things and to be happy, you WILL be able to see all of the ways in which your life is blessed and examples of Heavenly Father’s love for you every day in the things around you. I’ve done it myself and I testify that it is true. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and blesses us more than we even know.

How I live my faith

I am currently a student in college. I organize activities once a week where a group of students can come together and share a spiritual thought and discuss gospel topics and then following that we play games and spend time with one another. It is a fun opportunity to get to know a lot of different people and be able to come together and have spiritual discussions. I live my faith by being a friend to everyone and trying to be a Christ-like example to those around me. God loves all His children and I feel blessed to know so many wonderful people.
