Hi I'm Miranda

I am a daughter, sister, and an aunt. I like to run, read, and play piano. I'm a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

I'm a student attending BYU-Idaho majoring in Family and Consumer Science. I was born and raised in the mid-west. I am the middle of 5 children and an aunt to two of the most beautiful nieces ever! I'm a Mormon and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

My very life, is why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because in this world of mixed up values, changing views, and messed up priorities, I can find truth and feelings of peace. I have a foundation that will never move or shift, and that foundation is my faith and trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ. I have found my guide, who will never lead me astray. I have the Holy Ghost as my companion, so I can recognized when Heavenly Father is communicating with me and guiding me which gives me a sense of direction and worth. I have come to know that we are all Gods children and that this life is necessary for our growth and part of Gods plan. Faith, repentance, baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost is part of that plan. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, faith and repentance becomes a true and real principle in our daily life. As we live those principles we become more like and come to know our Savior better. By coming to know Him we are able to overcome and be forgiven of the wrongs and mistakes that hold us back. I know that by studying and praying about the teachings found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible, we can come to have a greater relationship with our Savior, and our Father in Heaven. That is one of the biggest blessings of being a Mormon. It's the joy that comes into my life as I recognize more and more each day how wonderful a blessing my life is and can be. As we keep our faith in Christ growing, by being active in church, reading the scriptures- especially the Book of Mormon, and continue to have meaningful prayers we come to see who He wants us to be. As we do so, we discover the strength and ability we need to accomplish what it is that we are facing. We can accomplish, do, and become what it is we truly desire. I'm a Mormon because it's the only way to find true and lasting happiness. It brings me joy and enables me to overcome my faults and weaknesses and become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Him and His gospel.

How I live my faith

Through all my many experiences I have grown to have a greater testimony of the worth of souls, the value of love and kindness, and the wonderful truth that we are all Children of God. I know life is hard at times and we get tired, and don't see how we can continue moving forward, but knowing that I am a daughter of God has given me the hope to move forward. Not knowing what exactly may lay ahead for us is kind of a scary thought at times, but we are here on earth to walk by faith and not by sight, and to by that faith, develop a relationship with our Heavenly Father. I love the counsel the Lord provides for us in the scriptures, "look unto me in every thought, doubt not, fear not." With the Lords help we can turn our weaknesses into our strengths, continue forward even when its hard, and when we don't see how things are going to work out. I know that as we live the teachings of our Savior and of Prophets of old and the Prophets in our day, we will be led down safe and guided paths. I have faith in the Lord and know He will direct me through the promptings and feelings I receive from the Holy Ghost.
