Hi I'm Brenner Birth

I've lived in Utah my entire life and love it here. I love rock music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've followed politics closely for years now, and along with that I debated through high school. I love reading and watching movies, even though the book is almost always better. I've always loved listening to rock and roll, anything from the old hits to recent bands. Along with that, I have been trying to teach myself guitar, somewhat unsuccessfully. I love bicycling, and try to get out for a nice, long, relaxing ride as often as I can. I've always just found that the exercise cleared my head.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there is truly no church that I have found that has been able to bring such happiness to my life. I was raised as a Mormon, but I also committed myself to a serious study of other religions. I read other religious scripture, including the Quran, while looking at the organization of other religions. I then prayed to God asking if the writings I had studied were true. While certain principles were confirmed to me, the books as a whole were rejected. I then began a serious study of the Book of Mormon. My life saw an immediate change. I was happier, more patient, and more faithful in my day to day life. While I did feel great, better than I ever had, I hadn't felt like the Book of Mormon was the word of God right off the bat. I had to read it cover to cover while asking God of its truth several times before it was confirmed to me. Overall, I wouldn't have that experience any other way. The times I spent and continue to spend studying helped me develop as a person in a way I could not have on my own. Thanks to the power of the Holy Spirit and prayer, I received a confirmation that Joseph Smith was a prophet who had translated the Book of Mormon as all of God's children can.

How I live my faith

I have been home teaching the same family ever since I moved into my current ward, about ten years ago now. This has led to some very spiritual experiences on both of our parts, as we have had the opportunity to watch both families develop and grow, in the gospel and otherwise.
