Hi I'm Benjamin

I love writing and performing music. I'm really bad at flying kites. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in 95 and am the youngest of four. I have two sisters and a brother. They have been my best friends and I'm really grateful for them and my parents. I also love music! I play guitar, piano, bass, and a bit of drums. I also sing. I've used these talents in a couple of different bands I've helped start with my friends and brother. I love to spend time with friends going on all sorts of crazy adventures. We're careful not to get into too much trouble though. I was in boy scouts with many of them, and we would go camping sometimes or go find a cave and explore it. I've graduated high school and I am now serving a full time mission for The Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy! I know that this church, as well as the Book of Mormon are true. Although I've always grown up with the church in my life, I did not merely take these things for granted. I have knelt in prayer and asked the Lord if this gospel is the true gospel restored in its fullness. I have felt a confirmation of this through the Holy Ghost. Being a Mormon has been such a blessing in my life. By following the commandments and standards that are taught in this church I have been able to avoid a lot of troubles and mistakes that could've caused me heart-ache and sorrow. It comforts me to know that this life is not the ends, but is only a tiny part of the eternities, and that I will be able to be with my family after death for eternity. I know that the Savior Jesus Christ atoned for my sins as well as the sins of all the world. I know that this church is his church established on earth today through the prophet Joseph Smith. I am so thankful to be a part of it and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I grew up as a member of the church, but it has always been my decision to continue to attend. I go to church every Sunday and for several activities that are held throughout the week. During high school I attended seminary in the mornings before school. Seminary is pretty much Sunday school but not on Sunday. It was hard to get up extra early for, but it blessed me with learning and understanding of the scriptures. I've also had callings in the church that have given me opportunities for service. I most recently served as a Ward Missionary, which entailed me coordinating with the full time missionaries in my area and often going out to teach lessons with them. Now I am serving as a full time missionary, and although I have just begun I am incredibly excited to find, teach, and baptize God's children. But most importantly I live my faith by trying my best to keep the commandments of Christ and follow his example so that I can in turn be an example to those around me.
