Hi I'm Jerom

I grew up in California, Texas, and New Jersey. I love the beach. I love to explore new places and ideas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Here are a few random tidbits about me: I am 25 years old and I am leaving for a full-time mission to the Fresno California Mission. I love to sing. I love to read and study things on my own. I love to explore new places with a friend. I like to go to the beach and relax and just enjoy it. It is probably one of my favorite things to do. I do enjoy being outside. I am a huge nerd for Star Trek and Star Wars even though I don't own or doing anything other than watch it. I definitely love zombies. My room is the messiest place you will ever come across. I am an Eagle scout. I use a computer quite often, and seem to know more than most people about them. I use to play the Trumpet until I was 14. I can sort of play the piano because of it. I really enjoy singing hymns as loud and as boisterous as I can. It is great. I know a little bit of Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I literally was nothing without the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. There was a time where I fell away for about 5 years. I had come to know the church was true and I had been baptized when I was 8, but I didn't think I could fit in the lifestyle. I felt I was broken or damaged. I had severe anxiety and depression. I was literally disabled for a long time. Once I decided to put my trust in my Father in Heaven and to try and not give up, I was able to break free from that. The things the church taught changed me. I was able to exercise great faith to overcome all of that. I no longer have anxiety or depression. I no longer struggle with even a tiny bit of that. It is all gone. I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that this Church is God's Kingdom on earth. I know that Jesus Christ is alive, that he is my savoir, that he is my advocate with the Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have read it. It has allowed the Holy Ghost to work more fully in my life. It has taught me many things, and has allowed my Father in Heaven to reach me and to change me. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have knelt in the same sacred grove and I have poured out my heart to my Father in Heaven. He has spoke to my heart and to my mind that it is true. I know that I have not been deceived. My whole soul bears witness what the Holy Ghost has imprinted onto it; that this church has the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The fullness of his gospel is here. Miracles can take place in your life, you can change beyond that which you never thought was possible. All of us are good people, this gospel gives us what we need to be successful happy people. It is all here! The answers to everything! There are great and wonderful blessings are waiting for everyone if they just read and pray to know if the Book of Mormon is true. May the Holy Ghost bear witness to you these words are true. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith by doing my hometeaching and going to the members of the church assigned to me and teach them in their homes. I have served as ward missionary(go out and visit with the missionaries to lessons and visit less active members), ward housing clerk, family home evening group leader(where we get together with other singles and do a lesson, game, and dessert), and a counselor to the group of men in our church. We set up assignments and taught lessons in church. I am now serving a full-time mission for my church. All day everyday we teach and do service. I dedicate myself to helping spread the good news of the restored gospel. It truly is a miracle and a wonderful thing to know! I live my faith by doing all the prophets of old and modern have taught us to do. I live the commandments and give my heart to the Lord. I do all I can to strengthen my faith in thought, word, and deed.I live my faith by sharing with others there is a way to be happy in this life and find peace. I share with others how we can overcome the natural tendencies we all have to sin. We can all be better. It is wonderful to share with people and give them hope and a way for salvation in the life to come and peace and great joy in this life. Who wouldn't want to be a part of this amazing work!?
