Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm a small town Idahoan. I love to hunt and fish. I'm a student. Married to the best man alive and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California, raised in a small town in Idaho. I grew up hunting, fishing, and camping with my family and hope to do the same with my own children. I've been married since July of 2012 and I have been loving life ever since. We do everything together and have tons of fun. We don't have any children yet but have such a strong desire to have children. I am going to school full time and will graduate in July and I'm so excited. I love being a housewife because I love cooking, cleaning, and organizing. I plan on being a stay at home mom. I love making people laugh and having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. When I was baptized at the age of eight I was happy but didn't have a testimony for myself at that time. I got baptized because that is what everyone else in my family did. It wasn't until I was 12 years old and I was at girls camp with the rest of girls from my church that I realized that this was the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We were camping in the woods and were challenged to go out on our own and read the First Vision (when Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ). After reading about the First Vision I knelt on my knees and began to pray. I asked God if what I read was true. Then the feeling that overcame my whole body was miraculous. I knew at that moment that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. There was nothing that could make me believe anything else. From then on my testimony grew stronger and stronger. Joseph Smith really did see God and Jesus Christ and he restored the true and living church on the earth once more. Christ lives and He did come to this earth to pay the price of MY sins and everyone else. He died on the Cross and was Risen again three days later. God loves each and everyone of His children and wants all of us to return to Him one day. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps us do just that. I know that all of these things are true and it is this testimony that I have that allows me to overcome my trials and bring happiness into my life.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by being a member missionary. I accomplish this by living the gospel by example. I try to help others see that by living in accordance to the gospel you experience true happiness. I have found happiness in my life through the gospel so now I want to share that with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes we do! God led the Israelites out of slavery and on to a better life through His prophet Moses. God chose prophets like Moses to direct His church and to teach others His gospel. Why would he leave us stranded today? He hasn't and He won't. We still need guidance and knowledge in this life to live a happy life. It is by choosing to follow His living prophet that we will know how to have a happy life. His living prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. I know this to be true every time I hear him speak. What Thomas S. Monson says it what God wants for each and every one of us. Show more Show less
