Hi I'm Sierra Allen

I love sunsets, sailboats and service. I'm so so so so happy!!! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming town in Utah and love riding horses, hiking, boating and everything outdoors! As half-Filipino, I also love the ocean and traveling, and recently went to Fiji on a humanitarian trip with other LDS youth through a program called Humanitarian Experiences for Youth. I'm very involved in Rotary International - a world-wide service organization (look it up- it's awesome!) - and have had some incredible experiences through serving with people from all around the world. I'm a very happy person and love finding the joy in everything! In a few months I will be serving in the Philippines Angeles mission, Tagalog speaking!

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony began on the foundation of knowing the Book of Mormon is true. I know with absolute certainty that it is truly the word of God and that it could not be the work of deception or fantasy. I also love the scripture Moroni 7:13 "But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good and to love God, and to serve Him, is inspired of God." What does this mean to me? Well, living the Gospel brings me more peace and joy than anything else I've ever experienced in my life. The temple makes me happy, reading the Book of Mormon makes me happy, listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost makes me happy...how could I deny that this these things are of God? I'm grateful for the happiness, direction and peace that the Gospel brings in my life. I know that I'll never need to make it through life alone. I know God is there and I'm willing to give my life to building His kingdom here on earth. That's why I'm a Mormon :)

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Church, so have always been active with meetings and activities, but especially in the last year as I've been preparing to serve a mission, my testimony and desire to follow Christ has grown so much! We've always been taught 'to do the little things' and it's true! Through small and simple things like daily scripture study, listening to promptings, being grateful and serving others, my heart truly seeks for good and light. In Article of Faith 13 it says "...if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. " I try to fill my life with good- good books, good music, good movies...because those are the things we can actually control and they make a huge difference in my life and how I feel every day. Try it! I promise you'll notice a difference :)
