Hi I'm Susie

I grew up in Idaho. I'm studying to be a nurse. I love travelling. I love dancing and singing. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Susie and I'm currently attending college and preparing for a full time mission. I love learning. I'll apply for a nursing program once I'm back from my mission. I love to travel. Last summer I visited Sweden and fell in love with the country and totally have the travel bug now. I can't wait to see more of the world. I love my family. We're all VERY different but I know we were meant to be together. I love dancing and singing and musicals. And I love this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it's true. Everyone at some point has to decide for themselves. I can't say there is a distinct moment in my life. I never had an angel visit me or a vision but as I choose to live in a way that is pleasing to my father in Heaven, I was joyful. It wasn't a momentary happiness either but instead a deep peace that I carry. I am a Mormon because I will make mistakes and because of Christ those can be forgotten. I know it is NEVER too late to come back to Him. He loves us and knows us. I am a Mormon because I want to be with my family forever. The temple gives me the ability to spend all of time and eternity with not only my immediate family but all those before and after me. I am a Mormon because I know it is the truth, and that this is the way to happiness.

How I live my faith

Often it's easy to separate religion from our day to day life. But living my faith is part of every moment of my life. I love getting to give service, because it helps me ignore my own problems and be grateful for what I do have. When we serve others we learn to love them. And as we love them we get a glimpse into how God sees them. One of my favorite callings in my faith is teaching the nursery (ages 18 months to 3 years). Little children have such a sweet spirit about them. I was supposed to be teaching them basic principles of service, sharing, and their divinity, but instead they taught me.
