Hi I'm Ashley

I was born in South Africa, Germany is my home, I am a missionary in the Canada Winnipeg Mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and lived in South Africa until I was twelve years old, after which I moved to Germany! It was quite the experience, but it was one of the best decisions I have made in my life so far. Germany is a beautiful country and it has so much to offer. It is great to see the growth of the church in Europe and it is wonderful to be a part of it! I love reading and everything that has to do with books. Over the years I have acquired quite the collection, and I really enjoy spending time re-organizing my books according to size, color, genre, whatever comes to my mind! I am a tad bit obsessed with quoting Nacho Libre and Mean Girls...It's the best! Travelling is my passion. I love seeing different cities and countries and learning about different cultures and languages. My favorite place in the world has got to be Scotland. It is the most magical country I have ever visited! I am currently serving a mission in the Canada Winnipeg Mission, and the experiences I have made so far have changed my life. I love being a missionary and I am so incredibly grateful for the short time that I have to devote all of my time and energy to serving Heavenly Father .

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so I have been a Mormon all my life. What I love about the Book of Mormon is that it challenges us to find out for ourselves that it is true. Through many experiences I have come to know that it is indeed true, and I am so grateful for the many ways that it has blessed my life by giving me direction and counsel. It shows that Heavenly Father loves us more than we could ever understand and that He constantly reaches out to help and guide us. I have felt His love and protection all throughout my life. I know that He is there to help us during trials by comforting us and giving us peace.

How I live my faith

I have been a chorister since I was in Primary! It is something that I really enjoy doing because I love music and unfortunately I can't play any instruments. I was also the representative of all the Young Adults in my ward, which gave me the opportunity of really getting to know them and developing amazing friendships. The biggest way that I am currently living my faith is by serving a mission! It is the best experience and it truly is shaping my future. As I learn more and more I about the gospel I realize just how blessed and privileged I am to have been born into this church. I love teaching people about God and His plan for them. This knowledge has brought me so much comfort and it is incredible to see how it transforms the lives of those that learn about it!
