Hi I'm Donna

I love doing anything outdoors and love my family and church. I'm serving a mission in Mexico and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California. I was adopted at the age of five. I joined the Church in June of 2008 and love it! I enjoy anything sporty or outdoors. I am a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe and did soccer for 10 years. I also did track and field my sophomore year in high school, in which my main event was pole vaulting. I also enjoy choir and love to learn new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert and love being a Mormon. When I was younger I knew and believed in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ; however, my family and I didn't go to church very often. One of my friends and her family shared the Gospel with me and my family. As we took the missionary lessons we knew that the LDS church was true. We gravitated towards it and its people. We were baptized in June of 2008 and were sealed as a family for time and all eternity a year later. I have held tightly to the Church and am a better and happier person as a result. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and I love it. I am so happy and excited to share the joy and happiness that I have found with others.

How I live my faith

I have served in various positions and calling in my church. I was in different leadership positions in my youth group and participated in my church choir. Now that I am no longer a youth I have served in various teaching positions including being a ward missionary and a visiting teacher. Right now I am a college student, but I am putting everything on hold to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been called to the Oaxaca Mexico mission and am very excited to serve. I love sharing the joy of the Gospel.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Mormons believe that families can be together forever through sacred temple ordinances. Husband and wife are sealed together and their children to them so that they can be an eternal family. They will be together even after death if they if they use the Atonement of Jesus Christ in their lives and follow His example. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians. In fact, the official name of the church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Christ is the head of the Church. We strive to be more like Jesus Christ and pray and act in His name. We believe that this church is the church that Christ set up when He was on the earth and it has been restored in these latter days. Show more Show less
