Hi I'm Aaran

I'm a student. I'm hungry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from sunny Torrance, California. My awesome parents are from the beautiful islands of Samoa and I love my Samoan heritage. I now live in Salt Lake City, Utah and attend Salt Lake Community College. It is a brand new experience for me, but the biggest thing that has helped me cope with a new environment, new friends, and completely different culture has been the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I say what I say and do what I do because of Christ. Everything about me I credit to Him. There is no better exemplar I follow and no better teachings I adhere to than His. If you're looking for peace, love, and true happiness just follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. I prayed and asked God one-on-one if The Book of Mormon is His scripture and if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His Church. Not long ago I received the most remarkable answer and confirmation to my prayers that this is His gospel and Church. (Galatians 5:22-23) Never can I, or will I, deny the answer I received directly from my Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I received my answer through divine and personal inspiration. If I can, anyone can too.

How I live my faith

Today I wished one of my classmates I met today a 'good morning.' Sometimes that's all it takes to live like Jesus Christ. I have found it to be very comforting to help and serve those around me. When I take the time to ask someone how their day's going, or help my neighbor shovel his driveway, or hold the door open for someone I am happier and feel great. Living my faith and doing as Christ would do is so simple and always rewarding.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Aaran
I believe it's merely because people aren't truly informed BY MORMONS on what are our beliefs. I also think it's because of what people "don't know" that they dwell on and listen to misinformation on what we believe in. We are Christian. We love and believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and in His Father, the Eternal God. We also believe in the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
