Hi I'm Dallin DeFord

I was born in Washington and raised in Oregon. I'm a musician, a computer geek, an artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in this wonderful church. Ever since middle school I've been playing in school bands, playing many instruments in the brass and percussion families. I love to spend time on my computer, watching videos and playing games with friends. When I enter college, I plan to major in video productions and minor in computer science. My favorite time of the year is Autumn, when everything pumpkin comes to the stores.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Part of it is that I was born and raised in the church, but I still go to church today and follow the gospel because of the love that I feel in the church. The church has brought me so much joy in my life, it's hard to contain. Through my years here, I have made life-long friends and learnt so much about Christ and His church, so that when the time comes, I can go live with Him once more.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am the co-chair of the Family Home Evening Committee, where we set the schedule for our ward's activities every week. Often, I also lead the music when it is sung in different classes. Outside of church, I do my best at all times to live my faith by being an example to others. With a friend, we go to fellow church members at least once a month to check up on them and always see if there is some way that we can help them around the house, letting them know that they can always count on us to help them.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Dallin DeFord
In the eyes of God, men and women are equally important. Women play a big part in the church, from teaching young children, to helping families in need, and many more things! Nobody can love a child like a mother does, and so we rely on the mothers to nurture the children, and the fathers help raise them by teaching their families in love and righteousness. When men and women work together, we can make our homes a heaven on Earth. Show more Show less
