Hi I'm Bernard Dulam

I grew up in the Philippines. I grew up in a Christ-centered family. I know the Jesus Christ loves us. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Since I was a little boy, I really enjoy playing basketball. But when I entered my high school life I fell in love with baseball. I become a varsity player in baseball in which I compete around the region. When I graduated from high school, I am an honor student which is one of my highest achievements. Now, still single, I am pursuing my bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering. I love engineering. I want to become an innovator someday. I love aircraft stuff and I am hoping to be a pilot in the future. I really very optimistic in life. I know it wouldn't be easy but through Heavenly Father's help, I know I can achieve what my heart desire.

Why I am a Mormon

It's true that I grew up in the church but it doesn't mean that I solely accept the things taught in the church. I also undergone a conversion. But my conversion does not happen before my baptism at 8 years old but it happen in during my teenage years precisely when I was 16 years old. I began reading the New Testament then after that I read the Book of Mormon. In the New Testament, I know deeply who is Jesus Christ. I gratefully know how He atoned our sins. I am very amazed of the miracles and the meekness He showed to me. After the New Testament, the Book of Mormon really is another testament of Christ. The setting goes in ancient america which it testifies to me that Jesus Christ is not only a God of Israel but throughout the world. He knows his sheep and He indeed visited them. He teaches the same Gospel just as the same as the New Testament tells. But the Book of Mormon had really done much more. I gives me a clearer and more understanding explanation of the doctrine of Christ. It gives me answers to the questions in life. I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I felt peace which words can't express. I know the Holy Ghost testify that the Book of Mormon is indeed a word of God. From thereon, I know and testify that the Book of Mormon teaches us to know that Jesus is the Christ. Through this book, I know that Joseph Smith is the prophet of God and the church is true. I know that He loves us so deeply that He gave us this book to be our guide and compass in this mortal journey.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting what I believe. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is very plain and simple. The only thing the a person needs to do is to apply it to itself. Just as James cautions us to be doers of the word and not hearers only. As I become a member of the church, I become a Young Men 2nd Counselor. I teach the young men every Sunday. I taught them to be worthy always to do the task which are place before them. Then, as I teach every Sunday, I gain a clearer view of the duty and importance of the Priesthood not only in the church but also how it will bless the world. I'm so grateful to be one of the holder of this magnificent power. I know it is a power and authority from on high.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Bernard Dulam
Mormons believe that the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We don't really disregard the Bible, in fact we cherish the Bible as one of the witness of the divinity of Christ. Together with the Book of Mormon, the things taught in the Bible comes in a clear understanding. Show more Show less
