Hi I'm Samantha

I live in Idaho and love it. I have a passion for dance and was a dance teacher for a few years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Early Childhood Special Education major. I have a passion for working with children with disabilities. I enjoy dancing, meeting new people, and sharing the gospel. I just finished my first year of college and I am now preparing to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the church. My whole family are members of the church. My true conversion came when I was around 15 years old. I went to a church camp in Provo, Utah called EFY (Especially For Youth). This camp was a little less than a week and it was devoted to bringing youth unto Christ. During my time at this camp I really learned who Jesus Christ is. I wanted to gain my own relationship with him so I prayed during the duration of the week and received guidance to read The Book of Mormon. As I read in the Book of Mormon I found my own feelings about Christ and learned that I do truly believe that he died and sacrificed for all man kind so that we can have the gift of repentance and return to our Heavenly Father someday. I have a testimony of this gospel and I know that it is the true church. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets of old and that Heavenly Father inspired them to know what to write. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored the gospel. I know that our prophet Thomas S. Monson is called of God and that God communicates with him. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

While I was in High School I worked with my the teenagers in my church. I was called to be the president two times while in my youth. First over the girls ages 14-15 and then the second time the girls ages 16-18. I loved working with them and it taught me a ton about responsibility and also taught me so much about service. I believe that having this calling helped me to decide to serve as a missionary of the church. I am preparing to serve the Lord for 18 months. I can't wait to share the gospels amazing message and bring others to Christ. I know that the gospel brings happiness and I am so excited to help bring that happiness to peoples lives.
