Hi I'm Jed

I am from Filer, Idaho. I love basketball, golf, hunting, and fishing. I also love my family and friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to fish and hunt and just be outdoors. Pretty much anything outdoors rolls with me. Also I love all sports, but my two favorites are basketball and golf. I love doing all of these things with my friends. Listening to music is always a blast! My favorite is country, but I like alternative, and classic rock too. I have a wonderful family: The best mom and dad ever! Two sisters and one brother. I love being with them and my grandparents as well whenever I can. I also have five pets: two cats and three dogs. They are part of the family as well! I have worked construction with my dad, worked at a golf course, and helped build duck and goose calls for my income growing up. I am interested in a lot of things for my future, but I am focused on pursuing a career in Ophthalmology or Optometry. If those don't work out maybe something in business. All in all it has been a great life, and even though there are many things that are tough I love this life. I am so excited for the future and having the gospel in my life gives me hope for it.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no doubt in my mind that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's only true church on the Earth today. I know that all of the teachings are true. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of this I know that families can be forever. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and everyone else. I also know that Jesus is the Christ. I came to know this through reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if it is all true, and I have had the divine confirming witness made known to me. I have felt the Holy Ghost many times in my life learning about the gospel and it has solidified my foundation. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints gives me guidance and keeps me in check. The big picture to me is that I can be with the people I love, mainly my family, in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father someday! I know I can never be lead astray as long as I follow the teachings that have been set forth and do so worthily. I am grateful my family brought me up in this gospel. I am grateful my friends, teachers, leaders, and family helped me to come back. It is such a blessing to me!

How I live my faith

Choosing to serve a mission is how i live my faith. I am now serving a mission in the Washington D.C. South mission. I love serving and representing the Lord, Jesus Christ, full time for two years. I know it is the best thing for me. I am so grateful that I get to go out and bring more people into this gospel during this wonderful time here on the Earth.
