Hi I'm Andrew Allen

I've grown up in Virginia. I'm a percussionist and music major, a soon-to be missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern Virginia, and studied music for a year at BYU. My main (and only, for now) instrument is percussion, and I absolutely love it. I find that I can just lose myself in percussion, whether it's in a concert or just practicing on my own. I've been a member of the church my whole life, and I'm preparing to serve the Lord as a missionary in the Brazil São Paulo North mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe with all my heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church, restored to the Earth by Joseph Smith. The church teaches the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that if we repent and follow Him, we can be saved. The truths that the gospel contains, such as God's plan for us, tell me who I really am as a child of God, and what awaits me and everyone else after this mortal life. Through learning these truths, and applying gospel principles to my life, I have a sense of peace that prevails in all the times of peril and trial in my life. I love this church, and I know that Jesus Christ is truly at the head of it.

How I live my faith

I love attending church meetings and feeling the Holy Spirit as people talk and testify of the Savior Jesus Christ. I've been an active member of the church my whole life, and I even taught Sunday School during my freshman year of school at BYU.
