Hi I'm Erick Calderon

I am Latino. I love distance running. I skate. I will be serving a full time mission to Colombia. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and grew up in a household of Mexican heritage and culture. At the age of 2, my family and i moved to a town named Camuy in the island of Puerto Rico. It was than that my uncle, a member of the church, brought the missionaries to our house one day. I don't remember much due to my age but i do remember playing with them and enjoying there presence. My oldest sister was baptized there and soon after 2 years of living there, we moved back to California. It took a while to find a chapel but i remember the day we found the missionaries here in Santa Ana who directed us to the nearest meetinghouse. At the age of 8 i was baptized and it took my dad 4 years to get baptized himself. I was sealed with my family in the Newport Beach Temple and now at the age of 18 i am preparing to serve a two year mission in the Bogota Colombia South Mission, February 26, 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I have prayed day in and day out, and i have felt the spirit throughout many events in my life and i can testify that these things are true and that the lord lives and wants to see us in his presence one day.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a mission and am striving to be an example to others. Not only serving God every Sunday but every day.
