Hi I'm Emily

I have many ambitions, but at thirty years old I have finally found my true passion....Sharing the gospel!

About Me

I have always been an ambitious person. That ambition has lead me to try many things. One of the most fun things I have done was training for 5k and half marathon races. I raced to represent a local running store " Run On " in Dallas, TX. I enjoyed training with a team and coach. Winning first place in local races was always a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Eventually my rigorous training took a tole on my body and I became injured. When I was in pain from my injuries I gained a heightened sense of compassion. I never understood how uncomfortable some people are on a daily basis, until I was hurting myself. I was lead through prayer and inspiration to become a Certified Nurses Assistant, and I now have a job at Baylor Hospital, where I love taking care of and providing comfort for patients who are sick. I am also enrolled at the State College down the street from my home where I am taking per-requisites for Nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

In vain attempts to gain worldly favor I gained an unmovable testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That might sound strange to say that I gained my testimony through vain attempts, while searching for happiness, but it came to me because of the misery and consequences that I have experienced by searching in the wrong places for fulfillment. Living the gospel provides peace, love and unity in all relationships and most importantly provides open communication through the Holy Ghost, with God the Father and through his Son, Jesus Christ. I am Mormon because I love to make God happy....He has blessed me with an amazing gift of the atonement , that enables me to repent daily. That opportunity makes me incredibly happy, and I want to make him happy....

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis by being a missionary in my own home. My husband is Catholic and does not understand or agree with many of my beliefs as an Latter Day Saint. I try very hard to provide experiences that bring the spirit into our home, and use every opportunity possible to teach gospel principals. I am fortunate that my husband allows me to raise our two children in the LDS faith. I live faithful to my baptismal and temple covenants by taking the role of spiritual leader in my home. I hold family prayer, scripture study and attend all of the church activities available with my children and husband when he will participate.
