Hi I'm Eliza

I grew up in California. I've just been called to be a Missionary in Mexico City and am super excited!

About Me

I am a YSA (young single adult) on my way to serve as a missionary in Mexico. I've got three younger siblings, 2 brothers and 1 sister. I've been going to a community college in California, as well as SVU (Southern Virginia University) for a semester. Basically I enjoy getting obsessed about things for short amounts of time- from the Harry Potter series to crazy cooking crafts to sign language. I love singing and have knitted about 5 hats and 15 pairs of fingerless gloves. I adore a good book and cannot wait to be a mom someday. I was also homeschooled for 2 years in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I think all of us raised in it can agree that once you reach a certain point you just have to know if it's true. All my life, Fast and Testimony Meeting were what supported me. The testimonies of others lifted me and I knew in my heart it was true. I saw their excitement and love for the gospel and just wondered "What is this all about?!" Finally I just prayed to know if it was true.. and I do know now. They say having a testimony isn't the same as being converted- and it can't keep you converted. I'm Mormon because I know it's true; I know that it's the only way I can be truly happy. It just makes sense.

How I live my faith

I'm now a full-time sister missionary serving in Mexico! Woot! woot! I do my best to share what I know and what I love about the gospel and strengthen the faith of others. I know I can't do it alone- but through Heavenly Father I know it's possible.
