Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Holladay Utah. I love music and anything outdoors. I am a missionary representing Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school last June, and I am now getting ready to serve a mission. My favorite thing to do has always been spending time with my friends and family. I play volleyball, soccer, and a little bit of basketball. I love spending time in the mountains, hiking, skiing, fishing, anything. I play the flute, guitar, and piano. I have been involved with choir and musical theater, and I love it. One of my favorite pass-times is photography, I was on the yearbook staff for my high school and fell in love with photography then.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, but I choose to stay a part of it. I know what is taught is true. Growing up in this church has been the greatest blessing in my life. So many people struggle in life wondering who they are, why they are here, and what their purpose is. The LDS church teaches you the answers to all of these questions, and because I have grown up knowing and learning to understand the answers better, I don't worry about that as much. I know that I am the daughter of a Heavenly King. Everyone here on Earth are His sons and daughters. We are here to learn and grow and to show Heavenly Father that we love Him and are willing to follow Him through keeping the commandments that He has given to us. And each of us have our own special purpose, talents, and gifts that will help us in this life. I know that Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ live. I know that they love each and every one of us and that they want the best for us. They are watching over us and guiding us through this crazy life. I know that Christ suffered for our sins that we can be forgiven. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son and that He translated the Book of Mormon and restored Christ's church on the Earth. I know that President Monson is a true prophet today and that he is guided and directed by God. I know that this church is true and that it can bring so much joy and happiness to everyone if they choose to come and be a part of it and to learn of the truth.

How I live my faith

I have found that the best way to live my faith is to lead by example. By doing what I have been taught since I was little, and what I believe is right. By being the best me that I can and sharing my testimony through the way I live. Growing up in the LDS church, I have always been taught that my Heavenly Father loves me and that I should love everyone around me like Heavenly Father does. I have tried to do just that as I have grown up. We are taught to follow Christ's example in all things, and as I do the best I can to do so, I hope I am setting an example to others to do the same. I have had the opportunity to be in leadership positions with the young women in my ward a few times. I was president of the class of girls that are 16-18 years old, and got to learn how to watch out for and care about those girls, and to set an example and be a friend to them in a way I never had before. I am now preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I chose to serve a mission because I know that this gospel is true, and I know the joy and blessings that it has brought me in my life, and I want to share that with others and give them the opportunity to feel it as well.
