Hi I'm Kellen DeAlba

I'm a product of the rich history of Latin America. I served a mission in Sinaloa and BCS and grew up in Mexico State.

About Me

Our genealogy shows the many cultures that came together for me to exist. I graduated from UVU with a BA in History and double minor in American Indian Studies and Foreign Languages (Spanish and Portuguese). I served my mission in Sinaloa and BCS and I have a special place in my heart of the people whom I served. I love learning about cultures and their traditions and I love the diversity that exists in this world both in ecosystems and in the children of our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel arrived to my mother's and father's doors in their youth and they understood the need to follow the correct traditions of their forefathers. The Book of Mormon is a record of my ancestors and I know it is true and the word of God. I believe in the testimony of Joseph Smith and I know he saw the father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ as he felt the presence of the Holly Ghost. I know The Lord has sent prophets to guide is in our time and I follow their counsel because they are messengers of God.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a Scout Master as my calling and I love it. I have always loved missionary service and as Joshua Said: My and My House will serve the Lord. I see the Scouting program as a great missionary tool and most essential for the development of good young men, and women in life and service in the church.
