Hi I'm Rebecca Cowley

I love to travel, teach kids, play the piano, and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college to become an elementary school teacher. I absolutely love kids and want to spend my life teaching them. Traveling the around the United States is a passion for me. I love to see what this world has to offer and its beautiful creations. I love eating healthy food and indulging in a little ice cream here or there. The piano is one of my greatest pleasures and I'm so grateful I have played for 14 years. My family is my life and I would be nothing without them. We are a close knit group.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings a fulness of joy into my life. I am so grateful to have grown up with the knowledge that I can live with my amazing family forever. Life does continue after death and it continues with those that we love. I want to make sure that I live my life in line with Heavenly Father's commandments. I am also a Mormon because I can think of no other to thank my savior, Jesus Christ. He laid down his life for the world because of his eternal love for each one of us. Despite our weaknesses and sins, he continues to be there, right beside us, every step we take. I love him with all my heart and know that he lives! I know that this gospel is true. I know the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on this earth and that the prophet Joseph Smith translated it under the direction of our Heavenly Father. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with being able to share my piano abilities with others. In my ward I have served as the choir pianist, organist, and the primary pianist. I have also been able to play in Seminary and Institute. Music is an incredible thing that touches people's lives so easily. It truly does testify of truth without using words. One of most enjoyable callings has been to serve as a sunbeam teacher. Teaching the gospel to three and four year old kids is the sweetest experience I have ever had. They are, in fact, the ones who teach me about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Most of all, I live my faith by serving Heavenly Father's children. Who knew that giving a sincere smile or opening the door for someone could brighten up your day just like that? I love to help people see their divine potential and let them know that they are a beloved child of God. Right now, the best thing I can do to live my faith is to serve a mission for my Father in Heaven. I will be serving the Lord in the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Rebecca Cowley
I know that every single person may receive their very own testimony. All they need to do is pray to know of the truth, have faith, and live it! A testimony is a wonderful gift that will bless those who have one and those who hear one. I do have a testimony of this gospel! Show more Show less
