Hi I'm Brandon

I like to fix motorsports but like riding them more! I work(ed) on a farm and love the outdoors! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 19 years old and am preparing to serve a mission in Tacoma Washington on Oct. 30, 2013. I have always loved tinkering in the garage with my dad (and even my mom!). I always have a new project in the garage and LOVE the smell of burning metal, vaporized gas and 2-stroke oil. I am an avid snowmobiler, dirt biker, etc. Winter is the BEST time of the year for me because of snowmobiling; however my favorite holiday is Halloween because I LOVE scaring kids with my chain saw. I have always lived in Utah which led me to my love of the outdoors. In the summertime I spend most of my time hiking, backpacking and working on a LDS church welfare farm. I plan on going to Utah State University after my mission and possibly moving to Montana after college. I want to be either a civil or agricultural engineer because of my love for those things. I have two older sisters who have taught me a lot and loving parents who support me in all I do. I also have an incredible girlfriend who just left for the Texas Houston mission. I cant wait for what the future has in store for me!

Why I am a Mormon

My whole life I have known that I have been blessed and felt a need for me to thank my Heavenly Father for those blessings. Working on a church welfare farm I have had many unique opportunities to view first hand what blessings I have that others simply don't have. Its humbling to see the food you work so hard on growing, be canned and shipped to those who are less fortunate than I. This church not only has all the puzzle pieces of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but they also value the importance of helping others, including people of other faiths, with their welfare work that I am proud to be a part of. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Redeemer. I know God, the Father, lives and that we can return to His presence through His sons sacrifice. Knowing this bit of knowledge (along with other truths) that this church has taught me has been the guiding light in my life. Without this full, true, unbridled gospel I am not sure where I would be. It has truly been the best decision I have ever made by sticking close to God and this church.

How I live my faith

I am an eagle scout and am very involved in my church. In my youth I have always been the leader. This started when i was 12 and went until I was an adult. Now that I am an adult I still serve with the youth in the Young Mens organization. I have always been involved with the youth throughout my life and imagine i'll be with them for awhile to come. I contribute this to my relaxed ways and immature mindset even though i do know when to act older. I kind of consider myself the "clown" of my ward because I always talk to everyone and am not shy to introduce myself and to welcome new youth into the area. I get along with most people and try my best to be the one people look up to. Some consider me a perfectionist because I have to get some things PERFECT when they don't really need to be. Hate me or love me but either way I'm proud of who I am.
