Hi I'm Kassian

I grew up in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada. I am a Mathematics Education student at BYU - Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a proud Canadian that grew up in a small town in Manitoba. Currently, I am a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho studying mathematics education with a minor in physics. Also, while I was at school I had the opportunity to begin playing Lacrosse and have come to love the sport. I'm a Mormon and am so grateful to have the gospel in my life. It has brought true happiness to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was three years old my parents were searching for the right religion for my family. We had gone to many different churches but none of them felt right. One day while my father was watching television when one of the church commercials came on, he found interest in it and became curious about the church. He loved how the church put so much emphasis on family and thought that it must be good but didn't think that there was a branch in our small town so he didn't pursue it. Later that week a set of senior couple missionaries came knocking on our door. My parents then let them in and took the discussions and later joined the church. My father has a job where he travels a lot and was only home for a couple days a week so it took the missionaries a long time to teach him all the discussions but through their love and perseverance they were able to bring the blessing of the gospel to my family. I was later baptized into the church when I was eight years old. I have had many experiences in my life which have testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that the gospel is true and it has blessed my life. I've read the Book of Mormon and know that it is another testament of Christ and that the events recorded in it did happen. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and can feel of that love daily.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live the commandments each and everyday. I hope that through this I can be an example to others. Where I am from there are very few members of the church and this has strengthen me and shown me the importance of gospel standards. I am trying to live my life in so that I can become a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Also, I will be serving a full time mission for the church. I will be serving in St. George, Utah, Temple Visitors Center, French speaking for a period of 18 months from December 2013 - June 2015. I am so excited to share the blessing of the gospel with others. I know of the happiness and joy the gospel has brought me and want to share that with as many others as I can.
