Hi I'm Amanda Aurora

I grew up with the gospel in my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second daughter in a family of eight children. I have my older sister, three older brothers, and three younger brothers. But don't feel sorry for me because I'm a middle child. I love my family, and my position in it. I love to read and write. I've been writing stories ever since I could. I love to watch t.v shows and movies, especially with my friends. I love being around friends, and making new friends. I love to sing and dance, although I'm really no good at it. I love to act and perform, and to speak in front of people. I love children, and I've been a nanny for the past few years.

Why I am a Mormon

I've often wondered if I would have joined the church if I hadn't been raised in the gospel. There's no way to know. But I do know that now I would continue to be a member even if everyone else in my family left. And I know that because I have my own testimony separate from them. When I became old enough I read the Book of Mormon. I further studied the doctrine. I attend my meetings and try to truly listen and find for myself that what they're saying is true. And I've found that is true. The gospel is absolutely true. And that knowledge isn't something I can ignore.

How I live my faith

I've had a few callings in church, the most recent were as teaching children. I've also enjoyed visiting teaching as I'm older. Meaning that every month there are sisters I visit and share a short message with. I also just check up on them to see how they're doing, and see if they need help with anything. I attend church, listen to the messages and try to remember them all eek and apply them to my life.
