Hi I'm Jessica

I live in Salt lake city and I am a mormon

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with two cute kids. I have a husband who I love and support in all that he does. I like to do crafts, play my flute and sing in choirs. I also enjoy going and seeing new things with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up LDS. There came a point that I didn't believe it any more. I have now realized that it was because all growing up I was living on my parents testimony and not my own. So I went inactive for about 5 years. In that time period I didn't realized it at the time but I was very lost and unhappy. People even said you don't look happy. I would say I am happy I go to party all the time and enjoy my time there. What more can there be. But I wasn't happy I just thought I was. I also didn't know where I was going and what I was going to do with my life. There came a point that I was finally talking with my dad about it and he said that I needed to start hanging around LDS people again and then I would find my way again. So I did and WOW what a difference it made. I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up and knew where I was going in life. I will never go back to that other life.

How I live my faith

Right now my calling in my ward is Visiting Teacher supervisor. I like to think I got called to this calling because I made a promise to Heavenly Father a while back that I would do my visiting teaching every month. And he just wants me to show an example of this to every one else. There was a time in my life that I didn't do it for like a year and I went to general relief society that next year and was told that I needed to start again because the sisters needed me. I also read my scriptures every day. I wasn't doing this and so I had to put a reminder on my phone that helps me stay on track. If you are struggling with not reading each day then you should do the same. It makes for a wonderful day and helps you know that Heavenly Father knows who you are.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes families can be together forever if they are married in the temple by the right authority. It is great to know that you will see your family after this life. Show more Show less
