Hi I'm Holly

I love to dance. I'm studying business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up spending lots of time with my family hiking and camping in the Uinta mountains in Utah. I love the outdoors: I love to hike in the summer, and snowboard in the winter. I am a student at Brigham Young University where I'm studying business with an event planning emphasis. I am the second oldest of 5 children. I have one older brother, and the rest of us are girls. I love it that way. My 3 sisters and I love to sing, dance, and perform.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful Mormon family. I have always grown up going to church and being taught by my parents. As I have gotten older, I have sought out for myself to know that the LDS (Mormon) church is true. At first, I kept my beliefs because it keeps me living a wholesome lifestyle that keeps me happy. Then, the more I studied the doctrine and understood that this church is the same church that existed when Christ was on the earth, and the more I learned about Joseph Smith seeking for truth and praying for answers, the spirit testified to me over and over in my mind (logically) and in my heart (it feels right) that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ did appear to Joseph Smith and have helped him restore the priesthood (power of God given to man) to this Earth. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not walk in crooked paths. He had prophets in ancient days, and he still has prophets today. As I began to understand the gospel, I gained a sense of purpose. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, and he wants me and everyone else to make it back to him. The peace I have felt with knowing who I am, my relationship to God, and the happiness I feel when I do what's right, is the foundation of why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping God's commandments and living high moral standards. By keeping myself free from harmful substances, listening to uplifting music, serving others, attending church, praying often, reading scriptures, being honest, and continually seeking to doing what's right-- I live my faith. I am also living my faith by preparing to serve a full-time mission so that I can find those who are searching for the truth. I also live my faith by staying clean and pure, so that I can have a temple marriage where I can be sealed to my family for time and all eternity.
