Hi I'm Heidi

I grew up in Reno, Nevada. Now I live on the East Coast taking care of my beautiful three children and I am Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am a home mom to three kids under the age of 5. I am constantly trying to find ways to keep my kids active and busy. My background is in Health and Science. I love teaching and finding ways to teach my children through simple experiments. I am passionate about saving us money, so I have recently gotten into couponing and sewing. I love trying new DIY projects I find on the internet to make gifts and clothes for my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am given so much strength and encouragement from the church. It is a tough job to be a full time mom and balance your time with your children's time. The church emphasizes teaching your children strong truths through daily teachable moments. It gives me the answers to share with my children when they have those tough why questions they come up with. The church shows me what is important to teach. I love looking at the example of the Master Teacher, Jesus, and gain insight on how to teach in my home. Families are the center of this church. The church is organized to help families live the way the Lord wants us to. The Lord has a plan and purpose for each of us. I love knowing I can turn to someone to get guidance and help on a daily even hourly basis. I know this church is true and will bring families happiness.

How I live my faith

I have found in teaching children that they learn a lot though music. Even simple concept like learning months and seasons can be memorized through song. I love children's music and always have it playing in my home. These simple tunes keep a great feeling in our home and the children are learning. Since I am always trying to find ways to keep my little ones busy. We love inviting other friends and little ones over to our house to sing. I love simplifying science concepts and inviting any and all to join us for stories, music, and a craft at our house. It has been a great tool in meeting our neighbors as well as others in the area with little kids.
