Hi I'm Jaren

I grew up in South Dakota, sing, film, act, and program. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Me and my brother - for the longest time - have had a huge interest in film and video games. Ever since I first picked up a controller, clicked with a mouse, or pressed the red button on a camera the size of my head, I knew that that was where I wanted to be in 30 years. So, since then, I've gone out and made friends with some of the best of people who share similar interests and do what I love; film, act, program, game, everything. No matter what, I know that my dream of some day looking at the big screen (whether it be my TV or a theatre screen) and saying "I was a part of that." will be true.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been a member my entire life, there has come a time where I knew that I had to decide for myself whether or not this was something I believed in. After prayerful study of the Book of Mormon, I found myself thinking that it all made sense for me. This was reaffirmed to me by all the chances I've had to exercise the Priesthood, and all the spiritual experiences I have encountered in Temple work, at church, and even in my own daily life. I now can firmly say that I believe this church is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that Thomas S. Monson is our current prophet, and that God will never lead us astray. He has prepared a great work for all of us, and I am glad to fulfill it.

How I live my faith

Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of events for my church; ranging from service projects, to helping members who are moving, to singing in our branch's choir. I've also had the chance to teach fellow members through hometeaching and in Sunday School. I will also be serving as a missionary soon.
