Hi I'm Mindy

I love playing the guitar, the library, backpacking, stargazing, and most of all I love this gospel

About Me

I'm a student at BYU trying to figure out my path in life. I love flowers, backpacking, rainy days, hot chocolate, and so many other things. I play the guitar, collect dream catchers, and have a wonderful family I love so much. I love helping other people smile and feel the love and peace that comes from this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8 years old I wanted to know whether the Book of Mormon was true so I read it all the way through for myself, continually asking my parents for guidance with words/meanings. When I finished the book, I prayed to know for myself whether it was true or not and my answer was, "Mindy, you know already know it's true". I have felt that strength my entire life. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me personally and loves me. I know that if I didn't have a conversion to the gospel myself, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I have realized that there is strength in needing Him every hour, there is strength in needing to read the scriptures, there is strength in Christ. That is why I am a Mormon. Just like Nephi says in the eleventh chapter of the Book of Mormon, "I know that He (God) loveth His children; nevertheless I do not know the meaning of all things". That is the foundation of my strength, that is why I am here, that is my purpose. I don't need to know all things, I just need to know that God loves his children and everything else falls after that.

How I live my faith

I love to spend time with others, try to magnify my calling, and pray for faith, comfort, and strength every single day. I have been called to serve a mission and to share with others the light that comes from the love of Jesus Christ. The scriptures are my life and joy, they were written for me and for you. I love my Savior and Redeemer and believe with all my heart that I live because he lived and died for me, and for all of us.
