Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up an air force brat. I attended BYU for a year but am now serving a mission in Argentina Mendoza! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up with a father who is in the Air Force. I moved everywhere from Georgia to Alaska to Korea to Oklahoma. In high school, I enjoyed playing soccer, singing in show choir, and participating in several musical theatre productions. I also enjoy reading and participating in triathlons. My mother is half-Korean, so I like to embrace my Asian heritage by eating Korean food and visiting with my Korean grandmother. I love to sing with everyone, especially my family, and just be goofy and have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my parents were both members of this church, I was born into a home where lessons about Jesus and his gospel were taught to me from an early age. At the age of eight, I decided to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I continue to follow the gospel of Jesus because I know of its truth. I have seen the influence of the Spirit that comes from living a Christlike life. Following Christ and His teachings brings me incredible peace and joy. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as sure as the Bible is. I attest to the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my everyday life. The Atonement allows me to repent of my mistakes and shortcomings and can take away the pain that I feel. Jesus Christ suffered for my sins, pains, afflictions, and sadness so that I, and everyone else who has lived and will ever live on the earth, did not have to. He is my Savior, Redeemer, and greatest friend. I know that Heavenly Father answers my prayers. I know that Jesus lives. I know that this church contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that if I live His teachings and continue to keep promises that I make with my Heavenly Father, I can live with them again for the rest of eternity.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for 18 months in Argentina Mendoza. As a missionary, my purpose is to bring others unto Christ through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Because this gospel brings me such joy and peace, I want to share it with everyone!
