Hi I'm John

I'm a musician and I work in the hazardous waste industry, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a military family. I lived on a farm for many years. I have played the guitar for about 18 years. I met my beautiful wife in middle school in South Jordan, Utah. I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Houston Texas. I married my wife nearly ten years ago, and I have been grateful for her every day since! My College graduation was in 2009 at The University of Utah. I am a father of two. A boy and a girl. I work in the hazardous waste industry.

Why I am a Mormon

It was hard for me to give myself fully to the Mormon faith growing up. Seeing families go to church and raising happy children and wanting that for my future family was a turning point when I considered becoming a father myself, as a young adult. I became active in the faith I was raised in and gained a testimony of the church through scripture study, church attendance and fervent prayer.

How I live my faith

We attend church as a family every Sunday. I participate by holding callings in my local congregation. I provide messages to families that live in my designated geographic area monthly. The best way to learn about our church is to read The Book of Mormon. Which I do. Our family reads these scriptures together.
