Hi I'm VaNeta

I love high school, music, and Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I do everything music. I play trumpet, tuba, piano, and viola. One of my passions is marching band, and I also love to play in symphonies and ensembles. My high school marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, 2013, and my Junior High performed at the Midwest Clinic in 2011. I also love to accompany hymns in seminary. I love backpacking. My family goes backpacking in the Uintas every summer, and this year we took the Highline Trail (65 mi) to King's Peak. Being with my family in this world of God's creation strengthened my testimony of his love for me. Running also helps me to set aside my stress and worries and focus on the important things of life. Running hurdles in track is another hobby that I love, as it pushes me to be better.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The little sacrifices I make for this gospel bless me exponentially, and bring me closer to Christ. I am LDS because I know I could never be anything else. Every part of me knows that this gospel is full of truth and love. I will always be a Mormon, and I am so grateful to my family and parents for bringing me to a knowledge of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as I get up at 5:00 am for seminary, as I participate in church activities, and as I go to church every Sunday. One of the ways that I grow spiritually is what I do on my own, when no one can see me. I grow closer to my Father in Heaven the most through my personal studies, my prayers, my thoughts, and my actions. Learning to focus on serving others and living with the light of Christ every day is one of my lifetime goals.
