Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Ogden UT. I have three incredible sons. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ by two loving parents. At the age of 18 I began making poor choices which led me away from the light and safety of the Gospel. Gradually I fell away from the LDS Church and became completely inactive. The Light of my Savior was replaced by darkness, confusion, and despair. For two years I lived this way turning to drugs and alcohol as a means of coping with the loneliness I felt. After groping in darkness trying to find meaning in my life and a path that would lead to a better life, I had an experience similar to that of the Prophet Alma in the Book of Mormon. Like Alma, I had a loving father who was concerned for my welfare. One night he invited me to his home and we listened to an audio tape of my Brother's mission companion's story of his conversion to the LDS Church. For the first time in two long years I felt the Spirit of Jesus Christ warm my heart and like Alma my suffering was replaced by unspeakable joy. This was the start of my journey back to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since this experience I have never looked back and I have never doubted the truthfulness of the Gospel. I served a two year mission in Budapest Hungary and am now married to my best friend and eternal companion. I have three wonderful sons. My life has been blessed more than I could have ever hoped for. I know that this is the Chuch of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I had loving parents who took the time to teach me the Gospel of Jesus Christ at a young age. Because of this I was able to recall those teachings at the darkest time in my life. While I always had Testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his Church, it was only when I left the Church that I realized this. My Testimony has grown brighter as I have striven to live the Commandments. I have felt the love of my Savior more times than I could ever count. I invite any who are lost, lonely, depressed, confused or who are simply looking for the truth to come to our Savior Jesus Christ and be healed. I also invite you read the Book of Mormon and to pray to know if it is true. I know if you will sincerely do this God will manifest the truth to you through the Holy Ghost. I know this because I have done it. I have seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ change many lives including my own. I know that the path to eternal happiness is through Jesus Christ our Savior.

How I live my faith

I serve as the Executive Secretary for my Ward. I have the honor of serving next to our Bishop and his Counselors who are truly men of God. My wife and I also teach the twelve-year old youth during Sunday School. I love both callings, but more especially working with the youth of this Church. They are examples to me of faith, virtue, kindness and love. My greatest calling in life is to be a husband and father. This is where I find my greatest joy in life. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father and as such I try to show that love for my own children. As I sacrifice my time for my family my life is filled with joy and happiness that could not be found in any other activities.
