Hi I'm Rod

I am a husband, father and computer geek. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived most of my live in Utah. Growing up I loved to hike the nearby hills, make tree houses, go fishing, mess around with computers and feed grasshoppers to my pet spider to see how large it would grow. After serving an LDS mission to California my attention changed and I found a wonderful woman who I convinced to to be my wife. We have 4 outstanding kids and together we are a very happy family. I still "play" with computers for my career by designing very large database reporting systems.

Why I am a Mormon

I view the gospel plan like a large puzzle with many different pieces. Each piece contains truth that explains some aspect of the gospel of Jesus Christ. What I love about being a Mormon is that these truths have been restored that it makes a very clear picture on why we are here on Earth, how to return to live with Heavenly Father and everything in between. At a high level, the gospel is very simple, and yet once you drill into each aspect of it, there is great depth and learning. I have had the privilege of studying this plan throughout my life and have received confirmation after confirmation through the Holy Spirit of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to be very kind and helpful to others. I like to think about the Savior's ministry and how he was so gentle, patient, kind and caring. I simply hope to be more like Him.
