Hi I'm Selena

I'm from Idaho. I love music, being a cowgirl, and just about everything outdoors. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in the middle of nowhere Idaho, and absolutely loved it! I grew up reading, riding horses, playing the piano, enjoying the beautiful mountains, and working a lot on the ranch. I loved being in high school and participating in the FFA. I also competed in High School Rodeo, and loved it. I decided to go to school for Biology, with an emphasis in Ecology.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. Ever since I remember, I went to church every Sunday, and my parents and church leaders taught me to enjoy and love the gospel! I look forward to the spiritual renewal that I get every Sunday at church that I get from feeling the Spirit so strongly. I love my Savior, and I know that he has felt every pain and sorrow that I have ever felt. I know that the power of the Atonement is so strong that he can erase and forget every sin that every person has ever made. I know that the Gospel was taken off of the earth, and that through Joseph Smith it was restored again in these latter days. I know that he was a prophet of God, and I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today, and he is given revelation that can help us in our every day lives. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers, even if they are not answered the way that we want them to be answered. I know that the Gospel is true, and that every person in the church is doing their best to live by the teachings of Christ, but we aren't perfect, because nobody is. I know that a testimony is one of the most important things that we can have, and I know that with faith in the Lord, any good thing can be accomplished. I am so thankful for all that this gospel has done for me, and it has made me the person that I am today. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things that I have done to live my faith is to be the church organist in my ward. I started playing the organ when I was 14, and have enjoyed playing ever since. I also served as a youth leader in my ward for the young women. I love doing church service projects, and reading my scriptures brings me such comfort and peace. I try to follow the words of the prophets, and to live each day like Jesus would.
